Auditions for Chief Players' "CANNIBAL! The Musical"
Audition start at 7:00 pm
Greetings Steamboat Artists!
Announcing Chief Players' auditions for the October production of "CANNIBAL! The Musical" (by Trey Parker of "South Park"/"The Book of Mormon" fame). It's the true life story of cannibal Alferd Packer and those stuck in the snowy mountains with him on his way to Colorado.
The performance dates are Friday/Saturdays - October 21/22, and October 28/29.
This show will be cast for 16 years and older due to obvious content and some language.
As there are not a lot of written female roles, we will be asking some to possibly don crepe-hair beards and wigs.
Current plans require 6-men & 6-women + 2 Non-Speaking Roles (Kuroko)
There are also several production positions that are open (including tap soloist, cowbell soloist, dream ballet/ensemble choreography)
Auditions shall be at 7pm on Monday August 1 at the Chief Theater (other dates/times by arrangement with Michael 870-2880).
There are some non-singing parts available, but all are encouraged to prepare a song from the show for audition purposes. The soundtrack can be found on iTunes, and the movie version can be found at:
Below is where to find the songs within the movie version:
