Peter Yarrow Meet and Greet
The Chief Theater Songwriter Series presents a very special Meet and Greet with Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul and Mary on Jan.26-27 at 5:00 PM. This will preceed his concerts at 7:00 PM. Come to the Chief for an intimate conversation with a musical and historical legend. Peter, Paul and Mary established themselves in the annals of popular music with 7 Gold Records, 2 Double Platinums and 5 Grammy Awards. In addition, they stood up to be counted in 1963 by performing at Dr. Martin Luther King’s “I Have A Dream” speech and on the Selma-Montgomery march in 1965. Peter Yarrow was at the forefront of these movements and in 1969 co-organized the Celebration of Life anti-war and equal rights event that drew a half-million people in Washington, D.C. Since then, he has supported many, many charitable causes including Operation Respect currently. Peter is a fascinating human being, an excellent subject for a very special Meet and Greet.
The Meet and Greet will be catered by Freshies, include a drink coupon for a house beer or wine and offer preferential early seating. It will have photo opportunities and a personalized, autographed concert poster. At 5:30, there will be a special interactive sound check where viewers can see how Peter Yarrow prepares for a concert.
